NAOPA Business Meeting 1st Sem 202225 March 2022, Cagayan de Oro City – The Nutrition Action Officers Association of the Philippines (NAOPA), Inc. – Northern Mindanao (NM) Chapter convened in a face-to-face business meeting last 18 March 2022 at Apple Tree Resort and Hotel.

City Nutrition Action Officer Hazel P. Dondonayos, Chapter Secretary, presided over the meeting on behalf of Chapter President, CNAO Elmer S. Risonar of Gingoog City. Ten (10) other officers and representatives attended the meeting to discuss about the association’s registration to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the financial report as of 15 March 2022, and draft resolution on the conduct of elections.

During the meeting, the officers agreed on specific strategies to push through with the SEC registration, since this has been a long-standing dilemma of the association. The SEC registration committee, headed by CNAO Nenita F. Rabe of Cagayan de Oro City, committed to continue with the registration and coordinate with the concerned members for any requirements.

Treasurer CNAO Elma M. Clapano of El Salvador City reported the current finances of the association and presented the list of NAOs who paid their annual dues for 2021. Fellow NAOs agreed that the annual dues must be religiously complied since these will make up the finances of the association. The Provincial NAOs and Municipal NAOs President per province are tasked to collect the dues from their MNAOs.

Lastly, in view of the upcoming election of the regional NAOPA, Inc. chapter, a resolution drafted by CNAO Risonar was presented to the body. After careful discussion and deliberation, the resolution was approved by the officers. In July of this year, the election committee with the National Nutrition Council Region X will hold the elections for the officers of CY 2022-2025. (NO III Sheena Marie G. Talle)
