The National Nutrition Council (NNC) successfully completed the training on Website Management, and Effective Writing for the Web which was handled by the NNC Web Team led by Ms Jigay Gawe, OIC of the Nutrition Surveillance Division and, Mr. Jayson Pino Guevarra, respectively. The back-to-back trainings were intended to empower and prepare each NNC staff to be “web ready”.

The NNC website will be used to provide current, relevant, concise and transparent information, and promote the policies, plans and programs of NNC while maintaining its integrity and corporate values.

The training was held last September 19-22, 2011 at Hotel Kimberly, Manila. The activity was joined by Assistant Secretary and Executive Director Maria-Bernardita T. Flores who will also serve as the Website Manager and Editor. The training was attended by selected regional staff who will be responsible for maintaining the NNC regional webpages in their role as regional web publishers. The training on effective writing for the web was also attended by the rest of the central office Web Team members.
