The whole course of the training will be facilitated by NNC CO and Regional Staff with Resource Persons from DSWD and DOH.
NNC being the cluster head of Nutrition, the LGUs are encouraged to organize/activate the Nutrition Cluster at their levels. The Nutrition Cluster aims to ensure the nutritional status of affected population especially the most vulnerable group i.e. infants, children, pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers, older persons, persons with disabilities and people living with debilitating conditions and that, will not worsen or deteriorate due to impact of emergency and disaster. One of the vital functions of nutrition cluster is to generate and provide data before, during, and after emergencies.
With this provided opportunity to LGUs, NNC is also looking forward that the trained participants will be the new sets of agents that could help in achieving effective response during emergencies and disasters. (NOIIAurel/NOIIIFlores)
