Well-defined steps and process of two or more parties is a major factor in ensuring success in the delivery and implementation of one’s program. Hence, NNC and DAR Regional offices convened for the first quarter of calendar year 2022 to re-define the processes, roles and responsibilities of each agencies in the implementation of the Tutok Kainan Dietary Supplementation Program (TKDSP) in the Region.

The Department of Agrarian Reform, the lead agency assisting all Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organization (ARBO) in the Region facilitates the selection of a qualified supplier for the tutok kainan wet feeding commodities. Through the assistance of DAR XII, five (5) qualified ARBOs for TKDSP were identified. Each ARBOs were assessed based on its capacity to produce and deliver commodities of good quality.

In line with this, the NNC XII, led by RNPC Retsebeth M. Laquihon, with Nutrition Officer III Ms. Annalita Mae V. Flores, and the Provincial Nutrition Focal Points of the region, held a coordination meeting at the DAR 12 office on April 6, 2022, as a courtesy to the newly appointed Regional Director RD Mariannie S. Lauban- Baunto of DAR Region 12. The meeting serves as an avenue to provide updates on the activities conducted under social preparation which covers the status of marketing agreements with ARBOs, orientations on food safety, process flow from procurement, delivery of commodities, and up to payment. Furthermore, as both DAR R12 and the NNC are members of EPAHP Region 12, DAR R12 has committed to continue its support for the fight against poverty and hunger. The DAR R12 have assured that they will continue to assist the ARBOs, who have been chosen as commodities suppliers, in the four (4) provinces in the region, in order to ensure that the organization under their agency is equipped and capacitated.
