Lingayen, Pangasinan—The Kapisanan ng mga Broadkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP)- Pangasinan Chapter gave recognition to the National Nutrition Council- Regional Office I (NNC-ROI) as one of its active project partners during its most awaited year-end event: The KBP Broadcasters Night, Christmas Party, Induction of Officers and Sportsfest Awards held last December 11, 2016 at Sison Auditorium, Lingayen, Pangasinan. The event was graced by no other than the Governor of Pangasinan, Hon. Amado “Pogi” I. Espino III.

Ms. Gretchen Nisperos, Nutrition Officer II of NNC received the said recognition citing the invaluable support of the agency to the events and activities of the organization in behalf of NNC’s Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator, Ms. Ma. Eileen Blanco.

KBP-Pangasinan is one of the most active KBP chapters recognized nationwide through its notable annual events that include broadcastreeing, blood-letting activity, sports festival and the regular KBP Forum and one of the NNC’s instruments in disseminating good nutrition to the public together with the Regional Organization of Nutrition Development Advocates-1 (RONDA-1).

The most recent partnership of both parties is the concluded KBP Forum cum RONDA-1 Press Conference in Bayambang, Pangasinan as part of the RONDA-1 Civic Advocacy held last December 2.

NNC-ROI, recognizing broadcast media as opportunity for nutrition promotion and advocacy is eyeing for a sustained and stronger partnership with KBP-Pangasinan for 2017 with the leadership of its newly elected President and Station Manager of iFM Dagupan, Mr. Mark Gemson Espinosa. (GJN/KPAG)
