CITY OF ILAGAN, ISABELA———- Radyo Kalugaran bagged the Best Nutrition Radio Program Awards during the 5th Nutriskwela Community Radio Awards during the 10th Nutriskwela Virtual Conference last 25-27 January 2022.
The program Panagluluto bested two other nationwide finalists from two other nutriskwela community radio stations to bring home the Best Nutrition Radio Program.
Panagluluto (Cooking) is a radio program initiated by staff and manpower of the Radyo Kalugaran which tackles about low-cost food recipes but are nutritious and healthy. They also included some trivia and tips about the food and its ingredients.
With its migration to digital platform such as Facebook and other social media pages, audience appreciate their low-cost cooking and techniques.
“Nagulat kami kasi unexpected po ang award at saka fulfilling po kasi considering na pang nutrition ang goal ng nutriskwela at nakuha namin ang best nutrition program,” happily shared by Station Manager Juliet Atiagan of Radyo Kalugaran.
The station received Php 15,000.00 pesos and a plaque of recognition.
The 5th Nutriskwela Community Radio awards were adjudged by Ms. Marilou Enteria, Former NO IV- NNC NIED, Mr. Rod Marcelino, Radio Host and Mr. Andy Vital, Freelance Reporter.
The 10th Nutriskwela Virtual Conference was attended by 50 other Nutriskwela community radio stations all over the country. They were also the radio stations who competed in the respective awards given during the said conference. ###John Nestor L. Ballad
