NNC MIMAROPA headed by Officer-in-charge, Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator Ms. Ma. Eileen B. Blanco together with Provincial Nutrition Focal Point Jhanna Camela C. Torres conducted a Tutok Kainan Dietary Supplementation Program Coordination Meeting to the pilot program area of Romblon. This meeting was attended by OIC, Mr. Danilo Santos representing the Honorable Mayor Lorelie M. Fabon, Municipal Nutrition Action Officer Ms. Josie Fetalver, District Nutrition Program Coordinator Ms. Carmen Chita Gumban, and Nutritionist-Dietitian Ms. Krisia Mallari.

The local government of Sta. Maria is the first municipality to implement the said program in the province. This program will cover nutritionally at-risk pregnant women by providing supplemental food for about 90 days.

NPC Blanco gave a brief description of the Tutok Kainan Dietary Supplementation Program and explained the criteria for selecting the program areas. Furthermore, NPC Blanco is hopeful of establishing a meaningful partnership with the municipality of Sta. Maria.

MNAO Ms. Josie Fetalver expressed her enthusiasm for this collaborative project and looks forward to its successful execution.
