Since the pandemic started, a lot of people now find interest in planting their own plants and flowers in their very own garden or backyard. They even call themselves plantita or plantito. Taking care of plants is not only a good way to de-stress oneself as part of maintaining a good mental health, but it also makes one’s house beautiful. With many people starting to take interest in planting, why not start having your own backyard as your own vegetable garden? There are many suitable vegetables to grow in the Philippines. With our tropical climate, it really helps vegetables grow well.

2. String Beans (Sitaw)
To grow string beans, you need to directly plant it on the ground. After 3 months, you will see some flowers that will eventually turn to young string beans.
3. Malunggay
Malunggay has many vitamins and minerals content. When growing malunggay, you need to place it where there is direct sunlight. Avoid watering it everyday as it prevents the malunggay from growing. After a few months, it will produce great leaves.
4. Okra
Okra is another easiest vegetable to grow in our country. You will apply direct planting of seeds and it will just germinate on its own. When the okra grows, it needs more sunlight to grow well. After 3 or 4 months, you can harvest more okra pods.
