BUTUAN CITY – The Regional Nutrition Evaluation Team (RNET) conducted the deliberation of regional contenders for the Outstanding Local Nutrition Focal Points on Monday 26 September 2022 at Almont Inland Resort Hotel, Butuan City.
The deliberation presided over by Planning Officer Elenita Mandap of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) sorted out the results of the recently concluded Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation (MELLPI).
This year, the RNET visited and monitored the five provinces and six cities in Caraga region.
Provinces with Provincial Nutrition Action Officer contenders are from Agusan del Sur and Agusan del Norte.
Among City Nutrition Action Officers, the following cities have contenders: Butuan, Cabadbaran, Bayugan, Bislig, Tandag and Surigao City. Likewise, the Provinces of Agusan del Sur and Agusan del Norte both have each contender for the Outstanding Regional Nutrition Action Officer.
Meanwhile, the RNET evaluated six District/City Nutrition Program Coordinators, Agusan del Norte, Butuan, Bayugan, Cababaran, Surigao and Tandag City.
Further, RNET visited and evaluated seven contenders for the Regional Outstanding Barangay Nutrition Scholars (ROBNS).
The ROBNS are from Agusan del Sur, Agusan del Norte, Butuan, Bayugan, Cabadbaran, Tandag and Surigao City.
To be awarded as regional winner, the local nutrition focal point should get an average of 90% and above.
Based on deliberation, the RNET identified the following, to be recognized as regional winners: (1) Provincial Nutrition Action Officer; (2) City/Municipal Nutrition Action Officer; (3) City Nutrition Program Coordinator; and (4) Barangay Nutrition Scholar.
Results of the deliberation shall be forwarded to the Central Office for ranking and validation. If and then the regional winners are included in the top 50% ranking nationally, they will be validated by the National Evaluation Team.
The contenders and winners for the regional search will be recognized during the Regional Nutrition Awarding Ceremony slated in November 2022. #NASLabordo
