San Jose, PDI – On October 11, 2022, five (5) Local Chief Executives of Province of Dinagat Islands (PDI) showed their support on Tutok-Kainan – Dietary Supplementation Program (TK-DSP) by signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at San Jose Pension House, Province of Dinagat Islands.

The purpose of the MOU is to provide technical and logistical support to the targeted provinces and its municipalities for the TK-DSP in Caraga region.

Conducted along with the MOU signing is the ceremonial turn-over of PPAN 2023-2028 jackets to the LCEs of PDI in which it was commenced by National Nutrition Council (NNC) Caraga, OIC-Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator Dr. Niño Archie S. Labordo.

LCEs present during the event are: Governor Nilo P. Demerey Jr. of PDI, San Jose Mayor Yngwie Hero B. Ecleo, Cagdianao Mayor Marc Adelson D. Longos, Libjo Mayor Melody Llamera-Compasivo and Tubajon Mayor Simplicia P. Pedrablanca.

Tutok Kainan aims to contribute to the prevention of stunting among children 0-23 months old by improving the quality and quantity of food and nutrient intakes and utilization of related ECCD F1KD services among nutritionally at-risk pregnant women and children 6-23 months old in the Tutok Kainan program areas.

Governor Demerey and the mayors of the municipalities of PDI present in the activity expressed their utmost appreciation to the NNC for the support given to their LGUs and committed to continue to support the various nutrition programs in their localities.#APajulas
