Davao City. National Nutrition Council conducted the first Training of Trainers on the Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation Protocol (MELLPI Pro) for the province of Maguindanao and Lanao Del Sur on November 16-18, 2021 at Green Leaf Hotel, General Santos City. The activity aims to prepare the regional/provincial/municipal nutrition committee to serve as the nutrition evaluators in the region using the new version of MELLPI Pro tools.

Jasmine Tandingan of NNC Central Office explained the evolution of MELLPI to the easier upgraded version, the mechanics of the usage of MELLPI Protocol to the Local Government Units focusing in the computation of ratings to LGUs Nutrition Committee, Nutrition Action Officers and Barangay Nutrition Scholars and finally, the interpretations of the radial diagrams.

Senior Minister and RNC chair Abdulraof Macacua joins the nutrition evaluator teams thru encouragement and emphasized, “the BARMM government have been mobilizing its resources from the different programs, projects and instrumentalities of ministries to aid the Bangsamoro households in fighting against malnutrition.”

Further, Minister Atty. Naguib G. Sinarimbo mentioned that the region gears towards development, specifically the capacitation of the human resources. He committed to help and collaborate with NNC in mobilizing the LGUs to implement effectively the different nutrition interventions intended to our children.
