Butuan City- City Nutrition Action Officer Mr. Reyveen John B. Geli received the Nutrition Service Award for his exemplary performance in the management and implementation of nutrition program in the City of Tandag, Surigao del Sur during the Regional Nutrition Awarding Ceremony held on 20 December at LJ Mega Convention Hall, Butuan City.

Prior to his post as CNAO, Mr. Geli served as the City Nutrition Program Coordinator where his expertise on coordination and management on nutrition programs was galvanized.

In 2017, Mr. Geli started to lead the nutrition program implementation of the City through its different innovations and strategies employed to reduce the different forms of Malnutrition.

He believes that the foundation of good nutrition implementation will start at the barangay level of which he ensured that all the 21 barangays are reactivated with a functional Barangay Nutrition Committee. Likewise, inclusion of the First 1,000 days program in the Local Nutrition Action Plans and the Annual Investment Programs are secured.

Mr. Geli being new to his post as CNAO is targeting for a zero malnutrition in Tandag and looking forward to join the committed and efficient outstanding nutrition action officers in the country.#NASLabordo
