*ECCD F1K PNC Española discusses the agenda of the meeting

Negros Occidental – The ECCD F1K areas in the Province of Negros Occidental met with the National Nutrition Council, Region VI to give updates on the implementation of program components and fund utilization/ liquidation on March 12, 2019 at The Nature’s Village Resort, Talisay City.

Each area reported the challenges and shared their best practices in implementing the Dietary Supplementation Program (DSP) for Pregnant Women. All of Negros Occidental ECCD F1K areas except Binalbagan have started implementing the said program.

The 2019 Nutrition Situation Update Report was also presented, and the areas were reoriented with the revised Technical Assistance Monitoring and Evaluation (TAME) forms. They were also informed of upcoming activities of the NNC: the Public Consultation on RA 11148 “Kalusugan at Nutrisyon ng Magnanay Act” on March 26, 2019, the ECCD F1K Forum on April 25-26, 2019 and the National TAME visit in Negros Occidental on April 8-12, 2019.

Present in the meeting were C/MNAOs, accountants, Budget Officer, Agriculturist and other key persons involved in the program as well the NNC RVI ECCD F1K staff led by RNPC Nona B. Tad-y.//AKJ
