The National Nutrition Council Region VI coordinated and facilitated the emergency regional tri-cluster on health, nutrition and WASH meeting with Inter Agency Standing Committee ( ISAC) last November 26, 2013 in Roxas City. The meeting aimed to update and assess the areas affected by typhoon Yolanda in the region.

This was led by DOH-CHD VI OIC-Regional Director Marlyn W. Convocar, who is also the Chairperson of the Regional Nutrition Committee/Cluster in Region VI. It was attended by DOH-CHD 6, NNC VI Provincial Health Officers, Provincial Nutrition Action Officers and the representatives of the 11International Agency Standing Committee (IASC) clusters based in Roxas City Hub. These clusters are: 1) Agriculture- FAO; 2) Camp coordination/management- UNHCR/IOM; 3) Early recovery- UNDP; 4) Education- UNICEF; 5) Emergency shelter- UNHCR/IFRC; 6) Emergency telecommunications- OCHA/UNICEF/WFP; 7) Health- WHO; 8) Logistics- WFP; 9) Nutrition- UNICEF; 10)Protection- UNHCR and UNICEF; 11) Water sanitation hygiene- UNICEF.
