PALO, Leyte – As part of making the organization more effective and efficient, a general orientation for new NNC 8 employees was conducted.
Employee orientation is the process of introducing your new hires to ones organizational culture, hierarchy, job responsibilities, co-workers, workplace facilities and more on day of onboarding.
Good employee orientation plans allow new employees to get to know the very basics.
Employee orientation is important because it: provides the new employee with concise and accurate information to make him/her more comfortable in the job; encourages employee confidence and helps the new employee adapt faster to the job; and promotes communication between the supervisor and the new employee.
Participants were two Nutrition Officer I and four Provincial Nutrition Focal Point. The Provincial Nutrition Focal Points will cover the provinces of Leyte, Samar, Eastern Samar and Northern Samar.
The PNFPs will monitor the implementation of Tutok Kainan: Dietary Supplementary Feeding Program as jumpstart to other Early Childhood Care and Development in the First 1000 days such as 4 pre-natal visits and pregnancy tracking, micronutrient supplementation for both pregnant/lactating women and 6-59 months old children, exclusive breastfeeding, appropriate complementary feeding, home and backyard gardening and other nutrition sensitive intervention.
