PALO, Leyte – A
fter being trained on Early Childhood Care and Development First 1000 Days Reporting System (ECCD F1K RS) in July 9, 2021, the pool of trainers rolled out the training to at least 4 municipalities of the province.
The health and nutrition workers of the municipalities of Calbiga, Motiong, Marabut, and Matuguinao, all in Samar attended the said training.
The web-based ECCD F1K reporting system (no installation needed) enables multi-level program managers to easily track delivery of ECCD-related services, progress of individual pregnant women, lactating mothers and children 0-23 months as well as overall municipal/city-based program accomplishments versus the programmed results.
The system also allows reduced time in writing and preparing reports since workers can already encode and transmit reports real-time without printing.
The system allows off-line encoding and generates SMS-enabled notifications. Workers can therefore use the system using mobiles and tablets, with or without continuous internet connection.
The ECCD F1KD RS was designed pursuant to Section 6 of the Republic Act 11037 or otherwise known as the Masustansyang Pagkain Para sa Batang Pilipino Act mandates NNC as the agency focal point for the multi-agency Early Childhood Care and Development in the First 1000 Days (ECCDF1K) and the National Nutrition Information System.
With the roll out training, more health and nutrition workers in the municipalities of the province of Samar will get oriented and adapt the said RS thereby ease in tracking and monitoring services in the First 1000 days and plan the conduct of supportive supervision, mentoring and coaching should services falters.
The RS training will be also be utilized parallel to the implementation of Tutok Kainan: Dietary Supplementation Program to be implemented soon in selected municipalities of the province.
With strong support of the Samar Provincial government through the active and dynamic leadership of the Provincial Nutrition Office, all municipalities are expected to undergo the training. #NPC-CPD
