With the support from UNICEF-EU, represented by Mr. Henry Mdebwe, UNICEF Nutrition Specialist, the workshop on Local Nutrition Planning was conducted on 25-27 September 2013 at Eon Centennial Plaza Hotel, Iloilo City. It was participated by 178 participants from the 53 MYCNSIA covered cities and municipalities in the 5 provinces of Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Iloilo and Negros Occidental. The activity was coordinated by the National Nutrition Council, Region VI and facilitated by 14 mentors from Manila (UNICEF, University of the Philippines Los Banos (UPLB) and UP Visayas – BIDANI, HKI, BIHC-DOH Central Office, Save the Children and Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and NNC Central Office). The 53 participating LGUs outputs were a draft 3-year Local Nutrition Action, 2014-2016 of their respective city//municipality.
