11 August 2025 – The Regional Nutrition Evaluation Team (RNET) of Region XII convened at Cinco Niñas, Koronadal City, for the second round of deliberations under the Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation Protocol (MELLPI Pro). The activity brought together representatives from DSWD, DBM, DepEd, CPD, and Mindanao State University representing the SUN Academe.

The activity focused on reviewing and validating the scores of local government units (LGUs) evaluated for the 2024 Green Banner Seal of Compliance and the maintenance of the Nutrition Honor Award. Each LGU’s performance was examined against established criteria of the MELLPI tool to ensure accuracy, fairness, and alignment with the objectives of the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition.

Through the deliberations, the team carefully assessed the strengths and areas for improvement in the nutrition program implementation of the LGUs, taking into consideration data accuracy, program coverage, and PPAN outcome indicators.

As part of the next steps – the final and official list of awardees will be announced and recognized during the Annual Regional Nutrition Awarding Ceremony on September 12, 2025.
